Yesenia’s story is one of transformation, resilience, and compassion. Born and raised in the culturally rich Rio Grande Valley, she carries with her the warmth, strength, and deep-rooted values of her community. Over eight years ago, she relocated to the Coastal Bend, where she has since built a life grounded in family, service, and purpose.
Before joining our team, Yesenia worked as a dental hygienist, a role that reflected her meticulous care and dedication to others. But when the time came to prioritize her growing family, she made the courageous decision to step away from her career to raise her children. That chapter, filled with love and learning, shaped her into the empathetic leader she is today.
Yesenia’s relationship with our organization began not as an employee, but as a client. Her firsthand experience with our services gave her a unique perspective and a deep appreciation for the dignity and support we strive to offer every family. Inspired to give back, she began volunteering, bringing her warmth, reliability, and quiet leadership to every task. Her commitment and heart quickly stood out, and it wasn’t long before she officially joined our staff.
Today, Yesenia serves as a Community Engagement Specialist, where she bridges families to resources, listens with intention, and uplifts others with grace. Her lived experience allows her to connect authentically with those we serve, and her passion for helping others shines through in every interaction. Whether she’s coordinating outreach, supporting events, or simply offering a kind word, Yesenia embodies the spirit of service.
Outside of work, Yesenia finds joy in spending time with her husband and their three children. Together, they enjoy family outings, quiet moments at home, and celebrating the everyday milestones that make life meaningful. Her love for her family fuels her dedication to creating a better world for others.
Yesenia reminds us that leadership doesn’t always begin in boardrooms it often begins in the quiet moments of care, courage, and community. We are honored to have her on our team.
